What exactly is a "Mystery Candle" from New Moon Beginnings?

When you purchase a mystery candle, you will recieve one candle that we hand-made and hand-poured in our shop. These candles burn properly and are made with the same care, ingredients, materials, and intention as all of our other candles. The mystery candles have been HIGHLY DISCOUNTED!

Each candle will be selected at random. However, if there is a scent profile that you prefer, please let us know in the notes section at checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but please know that we can not guarantee it. If you order multiple candles from our shop, we will do our best to choose different scents and avoid duplicates.

Why would you offer your candles at 40% off or more, you might wonder?

There are a number of reasons why we do this, including:

1. Sometimes we make a mistake and put the wrong crystals or herb blends on top of a scented candle. For example, we might accidentally top our Serenity candle with the crystal and herb blend of our Stress Relief candle. Therefore we will not sell it under its regular listing, but will offer it at a steep discount under this mystery listing.
   
   
2. Some candles might have minor flaws that do not impact the effectiveness of the candle, but do impact it visibly. These flaws might include subtle uneveness of wax, slight discoloration, or irregularity in labels.
   
   
3. The candles may be made with "tester" scents that we made while developing new candles.
   
   
4. We may make too much of a specific scent and therefore offer it under our mystery candle listing to make room for other items on our shelves.
   
   
5. We typically offer our "Seasonal" candles on sale as that season winds down. However, if all of the Seasonal candles do not sell before our next seasonal candles are ready, we will list them under our mystery listing to make room for the next season's candles.
