Intuition Focus Awakening

Quiet the noise and find your footing with our Hypersthene Elastic Bracelet, a deep charcoal stone with a remarkable bronze shimmer that surfaces as you move. Each 8mm bead runs from near-black to silvery gray, threaded with a warm metallic sheen that appears and disappears with the light, so the bracelet looks different at your desk than it does in sunlight. Our Hypersthene comes from Australia, home to some of the finest material in the world. Hypersthene is carried as a stone of intuition, focus, and awakening, valued for the way it clears mental clutter while sharpening your sense of what actually matters. Working through the Third Eye Chakra under the Air element, it is especially loved by people who think and feel deeply and sometimes wish their minds would rest. If you are meditating, making a decision that needs a clear head, or protecting your energy from the people who tend to drain it, this bracelet is a grounding and beautiful companion.

PLEASE NOTE: To prolong the life of your bracelet, we recommend that you do not swim, shower, or bathe with your bracelet on. Exposure to water can weaken the band and knots. We also recommend taking your bracelet off before going to sleep and not stretching or playing with your bracelet to limit the chances of it getting caught on something and snapping the band.

Geology & Composition: Hypersthene is a magnesium iron silicate belonging to the pyroxene family, one of the fundamental mineral groups that make up the earth's crust and mantle. It forms at high temperature in igneous and metamorphic rock, and it is common enough as a rock-forming mineral while being genuinely scarce in pieces clean and solid enough to cut into beads. Its most distinctive feature is a soft bronze-to-coppery shimmer that moves across the surface as you turn it, an effect called schiller. That shimmer comes from microscopically thin plates of iron-bearing minerals that separated out within the crystal as it cooled, arranged in parallel layers that catch and scatter light. It is closely related to the labradorescence seen in labradorite, which is why you will occasionally see this stone sold as Velvet Labradorite, though the two are different minerals. Our Hypersthene comes from Australia, where material from the western and southern regions is prized for its deep, even body color and its strong metallic sheen. A note on naming: modern mineralogy has retired hypersthene as an official species name and reclassified the material within the enstatite to ferrosilite series, though the traditional name remains universal in the gem and crystal world. It measures 5 to 6 on the Mohs scale and has noticeable cleavage, which means it is reasonably durable for daily wear but will chip if knocked hard against a sharp edge.

Metaphysical Properties of Hypersthene: Hypersthene is a stone of spiritual awakening, and its particular gift is keeping your thoughts tuned to your true calling. It is carried by people who want to see a clear path toward their highest self, and it is said to show that path not by adding something but by clearing away what was obscuring it. Hypersthene is associated with clarity and with calming overwhelming thoughts and emotions, which is why it is such a natural meditation stone. It is also considered protective in a specific and practical way: it is said to shield you from people who draw on your energy too heavily, giving you the fortification to keep your mind from exhausting itself. Anyone who has ever left a conversation feeling wrung out will understand why this stone has the following it does.

Hypersthene awakens the Third Eye Chakra by strengthening your intuitive powers, and some believe it emanates an energy that can boost psychic gifts. It is said to bring a cleansing energy to the mind and spirit, and under the Air element it pairs clear thinking with a genuine sense of peacefulness. Between the quiet it offers and the focus it lends, it is a stone people tend to reach for again and again once they have lived with it.

About the Third Eye Chakra:The Third Eye Chakra, also known as the Ajna or Brow Chakra, is located on the forehead between the eyebrows. It is associated with wisdom and spirituality, taking the ability of sight past just what our eyes are able to do and allowing us to be in contact with higher metaphysical and spiritual paths. The Third Eye Chakra allows you to see yourself and others clearly. It connects you with your inner purpose and feelings, and opens you to inspiration and spiritual enlightenment. When it is clouded by mental noise, guidance may still be arriving while you talk yourself out of it, which is precisely the fog Hypersthene is carried to lift.

How to Wear It: Hypersthene is traditionally worn on the left wrist (non-dominant hand). In crystal practice, the left wrist is your receiving side, drawing energy inward, while the right wrist (dominant hand) projects energy outward. Hypersthene's work is largely inward, the business of quieting a busy mind and listening for what your intuition has been trying to tell you, so the left wrist suits it well. It is a natural choice for meditation, journaling, and any moment when you are trying to hear yourself think.

Move it to your right wrist (dominant hand) when you need its protective side. Hypersthene is carried to guard against people who draw too heavily on your energy, and the right wrist puts that boundary outward, facing the room. It is a good choice for demanding days, difficult family gatherings, and any situation where you want to stay present without giving away more than you have.

One practical tip, whichever side you choose. Your non-dominant wrist takes less daily wear, so less flexing, catching, and pulling, which helps the elastic band and knots last much longer. If the wrist your intention calls for happens to be your dominant one, that is perfectly fine, just be a little more mindful with it.
