Geology & Composition: Clear Quartz is silicon dioxide, SiO₂, and it is one of the most abundant minerals in the Earth's crust. It grows in the hexagonal crystal system, which is why a well-formed point always has six sides rising to six converging faces at the tip. That shape is not cut or shaped by anyone. It is the direct expression of how the atoms arrange themselves as the crystal grows.

Clusters form in hydrothermal veins and pegmatite pockets, open cavities deep in the rock where silica-rich water circulates under heat and pressure.
