Purple Opal Meaning

Purple Opal, aka Morado Opal or Violet Flame Opal, is a variety of Opal discovered in central Mexico in 2011. Morado opal cleanses and purifies one's third eye and crown chakras so that one is open to higher dimensional energies and those of one's guardian angel, making one more spiritually aware.

The purple within this mineral is caused by tiny Fluorite and Silica inclusions. The purple color of Morado opal is caused by tiny fluorite inclusions. The fluorite gives some specimens a blue to violet fluorescence under a shortwave ultraviolet lamp. Some specimens fluoresce a vivid green color which suggests the presence of uranium.
