Desert Sage is a great alternative to a White Sage, which is commonly known to be unethically and/or illegally harvested and sourced.
Desert Sage is also known as Desert Magic, Mountain Sage, Grey Sage, New Mexico Sage, and Sagebrush.
This aromatic shrub thrives in the windswept deserts of the Santa Fe/Taos area. It has skinny, branched leaves and a light brown color.
Desert Sage has a warm herbaceous aroma that is a bit peppery (think Bay leaves or Mint tea). It is used for cleansing and purifying, protection, and inner strength. It is said to bring pleasant thoughts!
How to use:
- Light the wand from the top end and place the burning wand on a safe surface.
- Keep out of reach of children, animals and flammable material.
- Burn your Sage stick and let the smoke permeate and cleanse.
- While you are cleansing your room or your jewelry, make sure that you keep a strong and focused intention in mind.
- Waft the sage smoke so that the smoke cleanses the entire room.
- Once done, put out the fire against a fire-safe bowl or abalone shell, and store away for later use.
**Please make sure that the cleansing stick is COMPLETELY out before leaving the area unattended**
