$57.99 - $64.99
New Beginnings Calming Communication

Speak your truth with our Chrysocolla Elastic Bracelet, an Arizona stone in shades of turquoise, teal, and deep sea green, veined with rust brown and touches of near-black matrix. Every bead is its own small landscape, and the color runs from bright robin's egg blue to rich forest green depending on how the copper settled in the stone. Mined in the American Southwest, where the great copper deposits have produced chrysocolla for centuries, this is a stone carried for new beginnings, calm, and communication. It is known as a gentle, empowering stone that helps you say the thing you have been holding back, and to say it kindly. Working through the Throat and Heart Chakras under the Water element, it pairs honest expression with an open heart. If you are moving through a season of change, learning to set boundaries, or simply want a bracelet with the color of desert sky and sea in it, this one is available in both 7mm and 9mm.

Geology & Composition: Chrysocolla is a hydrated copper silicate, and what sets it apart is where it forms. It grows in the oxidation zones of copper ore bodies, the upper layers where mineral-rich water has worked on copper deposits over long spans of time, and that copper content is entirely responsible for its palette of vibrant cyan, deep teal, and forest green. Our Chrysocolla comes from Arizona, one of the world's great copper regions, where the porphyry deposits of the southern part of the state have produced exceptional chrysocolla alongside their copper for well over a century. Arizona material is prized for its saturated blues and greens and for the rust-brown iron oxides and dark matrix that often run through it, which is what gives each of these beads its own distinct pattern. Carving this rough material into perfectly smooth spheres takes real lapidary skill, since pure Chrysocolla is quite soft at 2.5 to 3.5 on the Mohs scale. Fortunately it frequently intergrows with harder minerals like quartz and chalcedony as it forms, and that natural reinforcement is what gives these polished beads the resilience for gentle daily wear.

METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES:

  • Intentions: New Beginnings, Calming, Communication
  • Chakra: Throat, Heart
  • Zodiac: Gemini, Taurus
  • Elements: Water

Metaphysical Properties of Chrysocolla: Chrysocolla is revered as a stone of peace and authentic expression, and its reputation is for working gently rather than forcefully. It is said to discharge negative energy and emotional residue so that truth and positivity can surface, which is why it is so often reached for during periods of change and transition. It is best known as a stone of communication, ideal for expression and for teaching, and it is considered an empowering stone, especially for women. Chrysocolla is said to help you reveal your own knowledge, drawing out what you already understand but have not yet found the words for. It also strengthens emotional bonds and offers stability and acceptance, so the things you say from this place tend to land as connection rather than confrontation.

Activating both the Throat and the Heart, Chrysocolla pairs the voice with the heart behind it. Worn close to your pulse, it is said to surround your aura with a steady, comforting tranquility during unsettled seasons. As you live with it, you may find it a good companion for exploring your own inner truth, easing apprehension and encouraging you to speak your wisdom and establish your boundaries with the same gentle patience you extend to everyone else. Under the Water element, it is a continuous reminder that real empowerment comes from speaking honestly with an open heart.

About the Throat Chakra: The Throat Chakra, also known as the Vishuddha, is located at the base of the throat. It is the chakra most associated with communication and truth. When the Throat Chakra is balanced, you are able to connect to your inner truth and gain wisdom, and it promotes positive and meaningful communication and conversation. If your Throat Chakra is unbalanced or blocked, you might have difficulty with self-expression. Aligning your Throat Chakra helps connect you to your own thoughts and feelings, and to the people around you.

About the Heart Chakra: The Heart Chakra, also known as the Anahata, is located in the center of the chest. It is the chakra most in tune with your emotions, especially love. When the Heart Chakra is aligned, it helps to open you to new experiences and new relationships of all kinds. It also helps to ease past hurts, and helps you learn and grow from negative experiences. The Heart Chakra is the chakra of compassion, allowing you to forgive and be forgiven. It helps bring love to you, and helps you to push loving energy into the universe. Paired with the Throat, this is what gives Chrysocolla its particular character, since it is not just a stone of speaking but of speaking with kindness.

How to Wear It: Chrysocolla is traditionally worn on the left wrist (non-dominant hand). In crystal practice, the left wrist is your receiving side, drawing energy inward, while the right wrist (dominant hand) projects energy outward. Much of what Chrysocolla is known for happens inward first, whether that is settling the emotions during a season of change, or finding the words for something before you say it out loud. The left wrist is also closest to the heart, which suits a Heart Chakra stone. Move it to your right wrist (dominant hand) when it is time to speak. Chrysocolla is above all a stone of communication and expression, carried by teachers, writers, and anyone preparing for a conversation that matters. The right wrist sends that voice outward, whether you are presenting, teaching, or finally naming a boundary you have been carrying quietly.

One practical tip, whichever side you choose. Your non-dominant wrist takes less daily wear, so less flexing, catching, and pulling, which helps the elastic band and knots last much longer. If the wrist your intention calls for happens to be your dominant one, that is perfectly fine, just be a little more mindful with it.
